Getting Started

Welcome to the Jillian’s is Fun! Community Blog.  You, as a Jillian’s teammate, are welcome to browse, read, and enjoy all of the informative, useful, and hopefully fun, articles and comments posted here.  Please take a moment to read the “About” page to get Greg and Tyler’s take on the philosophy and purpose of this blog.

All of the articles that are posted here, by your fellow Jillian’s teammates, are displayed on the main blog page “Jillian’s News & Blog” – the most recent posts listed first.  You can peruse page by page, reading articles and comments or just click one of the many links to drill through to posts by a specific author or category.

Explore each of the categories, on the sidebar to the right of the page, to find out more info about each of the categories in which you can participate. Got an idea for a new category?? Then send it in and we’ll add it to the list. 

Looking for a specific article or piece of information??  Then search through the “Archives” page for articles by month, category, or author.  If this is too much work for you, then simply use the Search Box.  Replace the text “search in blog…” with your own search text and press the Enter key.  It’s that easy.

We’ve also got “COOL LINKS”.  If you think we should add a new link, please let us know.

In order to comment on an existing article or post your own article, you have to first be registered and logged in to the blog.  To register, go to “OTHER STUFF” at the bottom of the sidebar and click the Register link. Put in a username and a valid email address and click the Register button.  A password will be emailed to you.  Use this password to login to the blog. 

Once you’re in, go to the Dashboard and then to your personal Profile page to change your password.  You can also add or change other info about yourself, such as your nickname to be displayed on each of your articles and comments. You can also add some biographical info about yourself and other personal stuff. Now you can comment and post all you want.  From now on, just go to “OTHER STUFF” to log in and out of the Jillian’s is Fun! Community blog.

If you want to add your own post, then go to Write Post.  Give your post a title, type in your info (use the toolbar to spruce it up a bit), assign it a category on the right and click the Publish button.  There you go, you’ve just written your own post and contributed to the blog.  Way to go!!! Keep it up!!! 

If you want to save your post and publish it to the blog later, then change the Post Status to “Draft” or “Private” and click the Save button.  If you’ve already published it, just go to your Dashboard toolbar and click Manage and then Posts and edit and save your post.

When you’re ready to read yours and your teammates articles and comments again on the blog, just click one of the “View site” links.  When you want to return to your Dashboard, just go to “OTHER STUFF” and click on the “Site Admin (Dashboard)” link.

If you’ve got any questions after all this, just send them in or ask a question on the blog by writing your own post.
