Twister in the WOO
Author: nicolewoo | May 27, 2008 on 2:18 pm | In All for Fun, All Else | No CommentsWe had a college senior event in here on the 12th of May and they wanted something “a little extra fun”, and we didn’t want to disappoint so, we had this idea for a blow-up twister game. It was supplied by our local rental company at a cost of $99!!! Just so no one was left out when the “big” game was going we also had two regular twister games out for “practice”. We had our DJ come down to help with the fun! Brian was GREAT! It was a SUPER, low cost way to give our guests a little extra fun! Talking to the contacts and some of the kids, they LOVED it!!! We definitely feel that with the DJ and the twister, you can’t go wrong! It just adds a little extra fun to a place where your fun is our business!!!
We are now offering this “package” to another group that is penciled in for June 24th!! I hope that other people get to have as much fun with this as we did!!!!
Community Involvment……Making a Difference
Author: Knowclue4u | May 20, 2008 on 3:34 pm | In Make a Difference | No Comments
Jillian’s of Evansville was recently recognized by the Newburgh Youth Baseball league for its continued sponsorship and particapation. During the dedication of the new baseball complex at the opening of the season, we were singled out in front of over 1,000 people for being a repetetive sponsor. Our involvment in the youth sports scene, in an area that is known as a regional youth sports mecca, has helped us make a difference in the community that we are extremely proud of! It has also assisted greatly in luring many Family Day regulars to us. These children are potentially the best ambassadors that we could possibly ask for.
Team Evansville……..Embracing Opportunity!!
Author: Knowclue4u | May 20, 2008 on 3:13 pm | In Embrace Opportunity | No CommentsThis past Saturday, the Evansville club took advantage of the opportunity to be the primary sponsor of the city’s inaugural Joe Hoops 3 on 3 basketball tournament. This event, which included partnerships with the University of Southern Indiana, the National Guard, and Fifth Third Bank, evolved over a period of 2 months, and brought us a lot of local exposure. In addition, as part of our agreement with the tournament administrators, we were able to operate the gate and collect admissions. We raised $250, and then donated all of the money to a local charity. The tournament was very well attended, and received radio coverage all day long by a local station. Also, leading up to the day of the tournament there were hundreds of brochures (with our name and logo prominently displayed) all over town. With this being the first tournament of its kind in Evansville, we were originally hesitant to get involved. We then began to measure the costs versus the exposure, the charity involvment, and the opportunity to once again project ourselves in the community. It quickly became an opportunity that we had to embrace……….and we are glad that we did!!

SF Hosts the Walk Across America for Autism Awareness Fundraiser/Launch Party
Author: gmsanfrancisco | May 19, 2008 on 12:34 pm | In Make a Difference | No CommentsWorchester Jillian’s employee Bobby Genese and his friend Robert Williams are walking across the country (13 States) to raise awareness and money for families with struggling to pay for autism therapy.
Jillian’s of San Francisco was proud to sponsor the kick off event for these two amazing guys and help send them off on their journey.
Their journey is no small task. Robert and Bobby are going to brave the elements for 10 to 12 months over 3000 miles. While driving across the country on there way to San Francisco they buried food and water in the dirt with G.P.S. tracking units so that they wouldn’t parish in the Nevada dessert and other harsh terrain areas.
As a gift team San Francisco presented Bobby and Robert each with a jacket to commemorate the walk (please see photos below). We wish these men well on there walk and hope you will offer encouragement by having people you know turn out to greet these two fine men as they walk through an area near you.
