Worcester Wii !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Author: Barbara | October 22, 2007 on 12:23 pm | In All for Fun | 1 CommentLast week Team Worcester joined by the fabulous Wendy from Manchester made a huge splash at the Worcester Business Expo. Our double-size end booth was the perfect location for a beautiful buffet, plenty of party and club literature and displays and most importantly a Nintendo Wii. This is the best piece of equipment that you can invest in if you’re doing an event!! Every businessman in the place was lining up to play our game. The Jillian’s booth was the place to hang! Especially during the Worcester Chamber Business After Hours when the food and drinks were flowing. To really top off an amazing promotional event we received a Best Booth award and Tim Chamberlain our Assistant Manager was in the Worcester Telegram and Gazzette the next day playing the Wii with a big Jillian’s logo in the background.
A big thanks to the entire Worcester team for a successful event. Our chef Heather did an amazing job with the food. Tim really sacrificed by playing the Wii all day-HA! And Wendy drove down from Manchester to schmooze the crowd. Also thanks to Paul our fearless leader, Angela for working the room all day, and Carolyn for coming down last minute to help.

Thank you from a Jillians Has Heart Recipent in SFO
Author: gmsanfrancisco | October 17, 2007 on 10:03 pm | In Jillian's Has HEART, Make a Difference | No CommentsBelow is a letter from a San Francisco recipent of Jillians Has Heart -
Jillian’s - I want to thank you for everything you have helped me with. Never in a million years did I imagine that I would be hit from behind while walking to pay bills at 8:30am on my day off. I was struck by two cars that crashed into each other and came on to the sidewalk and pushed me into a concrete wall. That wreck caused my Tiba to break in 15 places that has been replaced with a metal rod and also resulted in the amputation of 2 toes. I was in the hospital for almost one month.
My life has changed drastically. Everthing in an instant turned inside out. My bills, my rent was never paid….I never made it! The lights were shut off to my apartment, rent wasn’t paid….WOW! I can not work for a long while, what was I going to do? If wasn’t for Jillian’s and the Heart Foundation I’m not sure where I would be. My career as a professional bartender is over for now! That is the worst feeling ever especially when you love your work and what you did.
I am a single mother with a 13 year old son and thanks to all of you he is able to go back to school and has a roof over his head with lights and some nice clothes. I am so grateful and if you only knew how blessed you made me. Thanks for all the support.
Darren you are the best boss I have ever had. It was a pleasure. Keep up the good work, you are the best.
Robin, thanks for being my friend and having my son in your heart and mind. You are the best.
Jennifer and Ericka, thanks for having my back and making my birthday in the hospital a lot better.
I miss all of you so much. I miss my job where I worked really bad. Thanks again for everything See you all when I get better.
Sincerely,
Monica Orundo
A Big thank you to the IT Guys
Author: gmsanfrancisco | October 17, 2007 on 9:46 pm | In All Else | No CommentsLast week our Restaurant Magic system went down on a Tuesday afternoon and chaos broke out as I’m sure you can imagine. “What, no RM PC to enter all the invoices, do P&L work and check on payroll”!
We shipped out our system to HQ and James Lee and John Swoders worked some magic and replaced the hard-drive and we had our system back up and running Saturday afternoon of the same week. We just want to drop a line to James and John and thank them for getting us back up and running.
Thank you from Team San Francisco for a speedy recovery and getting us back on track, it made our Monday that much easier!
Sincerely,
Team San Francisco
